Matt Sacra: Surviving Iraq, And What Came After
Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Matthew Sacra served in the US Army in both the enlisted ranks and as an officer in the Armor branch. Wounded twice in Iraq, he later authored the book Armor of God: An Armor Officer's Faith, Growth, and Protection in Combat, in part as self-therapy for his TBI and PTSD. After a lengthy and distinguished military career, Matt's final assignment in the Army was as an instructor at the US Military Academy at West Point. Now retired, he lives in Pennsylvania with his family.
From a family tradition of national service, to earning the Purple Heart in Iraq, to teaching at West Point, and then on to retirement in Pennsylvania, these... are Matt Sacra's battlefields.
